About Gary
Gary Clemons is a proud native of South Louisville, and a veteran of the U.S. Army, who has spent his life standing beside the hardworking people of Jefferson County. After his military service, Gary continued his commitment to community by serving as President of United Steelworkers Local 1693—representing more than 200 workers at the American Synthetic Rubber Company in Louisville.
Grounded in real-world experience, Gary knows what it means to get up each day, go to work, pay the bills, and raise a family in Kentucky. He is stepping up to serve because he believes that working families in the 37th Senate District deserve a champion who understands their lives—and will fight for them.
